On Saturday, June 4, 2011 I went to the Twin Falls Temple and took out my own endownments. It was such a special day that I was able to share with Brodee, Mom (Andrea), Dad (Greg), Carl (Father-in-law), Loralee (Mother-in-law), Grandma Walchli, and Grandma Kempton. It was a beautiful day as I was able to enter into the House of the Lord and feel of the spirit. It is an experience that I will never forget, the feelings that I felt will never be replaced.
Not only was the temple a big day for me and my family, but also Brodee and mine new house. I like to call it "A house on Wheels." hahaha the reason that I call it this is because Brodee's anut Leacia gave us a trailor house. We have been for the past month and half, cleaning up a place to put it across from the Elba park. It is down in a grove of trees and the area is beautiful. Later that night on Saturday, Carl, Dad, Max, Brodee and I went out and started to prepare the trailor to be moved. It took a while getting the tires on, and trying to get the hitch hooked up to the tractor. Then right before it went pitch black, Carl was able to manuver the trailor to the road, so that on Monday after work, he is able to take the journey and move it into our new homestead. It was quite the process and tons of laughs and serious faces, but the beginning of something new is happening...
However, the most excited thing that is happening is that in less than a week, I am marrying my best friend on Friday!!! :) Plus, my best friend, Michelle is coming down from Moscow to share this day with me and this entire week! It is exciting...I can't wait to see her!! Everything is working out :) "It's PERCECT"--Brodee

Feeling pretty blessed..
It for sure has been a while since I updated the happenings in our life, mainly because we are busy with everything that is happening. Brodee and I decided that we are going to live in Elba right across from the park, therefore, for the past month or so we have been fixing up the land (thanks to his dad) in order for us to put a trailor on it. If you ask me it is looking pretty nice. All that is left is waiting, waiting for the trailor to be pulled up which will hopefully happen in the next few days. The trailor is not in the best condition but with patience, money, and some tlc it will be liveable here within a few months..hopefully 2 or so. :) However, it is really exciting!! Today, we purchased a washer and dryer set for $50.00 from a family who is moving to Alaska..I was so excited about this purchase. I guess the older you get, those are the types of things you get excitied about, but for what it was worth, it was a great purchase. On Saturday I will be going through the Twin Falls Temple to take out my endownments...THEN its the BIG DAY!! Only 8 more days!!! =) Alot has been going on though..everything is planned and ready to go, which is so very nice..not it is just that wait time.. However, over the past few months quite a bit has happened.
Brodee got a job working for Butte Irrigation and travels into Burley everyday. He works quite a bit and has tons of overtime hours due to the nice weather! But I cant complain, we are getting money, BUT I sure do miss him all day!! Here in the next few months he will be starting school again and finishing up his Electrical Degree (then hopefully, he will be getting paided more ;)) He is such a wonderful guy...he is kind, sweet, strong, respectful, hard worker, honest, and perfect just for me!! He works so hard in order to make me happy and I just love him so much for it!! I honestly can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him!
Well on to some BIG NEWS!!! Four years later and I finally graduated college with a degree in Early Childhood Development and Education. I can't beleive that it has already been four years..time flies by! However, with all that happening, I finished up my student teaching and was offered the 2nd grade teaching job at Raft River Elememtary..of course I took it and now will be teaching school in the fall..I can't wait!! I am finally doing what I have been working so hard at for four years!! :)
With everything happening in both Brodee and My life I feel so blessed. We have wonderful parents who care and love us which is such a great blessing. It makes life a little bit easier!!! Over Memorial Day Weekend, both of our families has a BBQ with each other! It was so much fun, it was a "perfect day." We played games outside, ate, and enjoyed each others company. As of righ now in my life, its a great time to feel lucky and all those dreams coming true! =)

Right now I am doing my student teaching and have six weeks left. It has been quite the experience. When I was in 2nd grade, I become attached to those children. At this age, I have realized that they are fairly independent, but still need that little assistance. Each day, when I get to school, I always get hugs from about 10 students. A day never goes by without hugs from them all, unless they are sick. Their personalitites are unique and quite special. I have a student, who is in love with me, or as the other teachers say, "a crush," but they are right, it is a crush. This boy is wonderful. He always draws stick pictures of me and him, and as of lately he has been putting Brodee in there too. I can always count on at least two pictures a day from him. My stack of stick figure pictures is getting quite big. :) He always wants me to come play outside with him during recess, and every chance he gets, during breaks, he always finds me and gives me a hug. Right before he heads back to class though he always says, "I'll see you later Miss Scott." They also say the cutiest things, that coming from a second grader can make you feel pretty special. One boy in class came up to me one day and said, "Miss Scott, your hair looks mighty fine today." It was curly and I guess he was a fan of curly hair. I hadn't worn it curly for a while after that day until he asked me, "Miss Scott, can you wear your hair curly the next Thursday?" With a face like that, how could I resist? So..the next Thursday, I wore my hair curly for him. When he walked into the classroom and took a look at me, his face penetrated a smile from ear to ear. He walked over to me and said, "Miss Scott, you wore your hair like that. I sure do like it."
As for Brodee, he is currently working in Ogden doing electrical work and going to school on the week days. As a result, I only get to see him Thursday night through Sunday night. It has been a challenge, but I go love those Thursday nights when I get to see him :) Right now also, he is looking for a job around the Malta/Elba area, so that once we are married, we can live here and not in Utah. I am hoping also that I will be able to get a job at the school next year teaching 2nd or 3rd grade.

I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress..
It was Thursday, Feburary 24th, when I received a phone call from the office telling me that me and my class had a special delivery at the office. From right there I knew exactly what was happening. All the students were saying, "Miss Scott why is your face getting red?" And Adam, who is Brodee's brother which I teach in the 2nd grade, says, "Oh it is just Brodee." As I lined the students up at the door, we headed down to the office. As I approached the office, there was a red box in front of the office. Holly (my sister) handed me a notecard that said 'Open the box' when I opened the box, out popped Brodee. He was standing there in a suit, with flowers, and the ring. He got down on one knee, and said "Hailie will you marry me?" I said, "Of course." All of the 2nd graders were giggling with red faces saying, "Kiss the bride." They were squilling and giggling about all the excitement. Of course all the girls wanted to see the rings, so when we finally got back to class I had them line up and look at my ring. It was the perfect day, to the rest of my life.
We were both young when I first saw you...
I thought I would start out and tell a little bit about Brodee and I. Brodee and I have known each other since the 5th grade, when I moved down here to Malta. From that first day of school up to now, there was always something about him that I just loved. He was so cute :) It wasn't until the 7th grade that something happened between us. Brodee and I started to like each other and back then, "going out" was the cool thing to be doing. So, Brodee and I decided to "go out" with each other :) I remember the first gift that he made me (I still have it). It is a piece of wood, carved. The carving says, 'Hailie' with a bunch of hearts, it was adorable. For my birthday his mom drove him down to my house and he gave me a card. On the front of the yellow card with a flower it said, 'You're not getting this card because it is your birthday'...then you open it up, 'Your getting this card because it is your birthday and I like you.' Then one day in school, he made this paper frog and leaped it over to my desk..I knew from that frog, it was love forever :) However, alot changed once we reached high school. He was devestased when I, according to him, 'Broke his heart,' because I wouldn't date him. Over the next four years of high school, we were great friends, and we continued on with our lives. However, always in the back of my mind, I still liked him alot. I just never said anything. After high school, I went to Moscow to the University of Idaho and Brodee prepared for a mission. We hardly ever talked that first year after high school and for the two years he was on a mission, I never talked to him, unless it was through the upkeepings of my parents and his. It wasn't until he returned home that things started to change as we started to talk to each other over the phone. Brodee got home in September of 2010 and continued with schooling and working in Ogden, UT. I was still finishing up my last year of college and would be coming home in the Spring to do my student teaching in the 2nd grade at Raft River Elementary. Things became interesting when Brodee and I started hanging out in Decemeber and January. After a little talking and realizing what we wanted for the rest of our lives, we decided to date each other. We started dating in January, and four weeks later we decided to get married. That leaves us to where we are right now. Brodee and I are getting married June 10th 2011 in the Twin Falls Temple. I am finally marrying my best friend.. It reminds me of that saying from Sweet Home Alabama, "Your the first boy I kissed 'Jake' and I want you to be my last."
