Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Start of our very first Christmas together....

During the day on Christmas Eve, Brodee wanted to open his presents that we got for each other, so of course at 2:00 in the afternoon Brodee and I opened those presents. I got a new North Face coat, a hat, a fossil wallet, and two gift cards to Maurices and Down East. He ended up getting a new hunting coat and matching hat, and a new backpack, but his biggest thrill for the day was his XBOX...

On Christmas Eve, we spent the evening with my parents. We ate dinner, watched a movie, and opened the gifts from the family member who drew our name. Brodee got a nice knife from my mom and I ended up with perfume from my dad...he did a good job picking it out ;)

On Christmas morning we went to Elba and opened 'more' gifts. Brodee got new boots, a vest, knife, sharpening stone, and a jack for the car. I got money, scency stuff, and covers for boots (I hate dirty boots int he house). We did have church today, but just sacrament, which we all went too. After church we ate dinner with the Boden's and came back down to Malta. Jordan got to call today from his mission. It was really good to talk to him, he is doing great, and enjoying every bit of it. It will be exciting for him to be coming home in about 6 months. When we finished talking to Jordan, Brodee and I opened our presents at my parents house. We got a new vacuum cleaner, blanket, a picture of the Twin Falls temple, and all sorts of things for us individually and together. I would say we came out of there with some pretty good stuff!! :) This was a great Christmas. We were able to spend time with our families and remember our Savior. I am looking forward to many more Christmases and our own traditions to come! :)

Starting off Christmas break...the wrong way

Well...let me just tell you how excited I was on Friday when the hours slowly went by until 3:30, to finally be on Christmas break and have a break from school. Don't get me wrong I LOVE all my children in my class and I love working where I do, but it was a needed break.

However, come Friday night after the annual Elba Christmas party, I did not feel good. I know what you are thinking..(pregnant) BUT I'm not that kind of sick..I am "head cold, can't breathe, tired" kind of sick. And to top it all off it is not just me, it's Brodee too.

On Saturday  night he slept for a good 10 hours and then Sunday afternoon, we both took a 3 hour nap. It was wonderful, but that didn't seem to help. He woke up this morning not wanting to go to work because he didn't feel good, and if you know Brodee, that is highly unusal for him to even think, regardless say something like that, so I know for sure he doesn't feel good. I guess when you think you finally have a break, something always like this happens, I just hope we start feeling better, so I can enjoy my break and not be sick the whole time. However, I can't complain too much...cause CHRISTMAS IS IN 6 DAYS!! =)

Bonnie and Adam spent the day with us, so they decided that they wanted to come get a tree with us. It was a pretty good time. We found the perfect tree...and now it's up and we are ready for Christmas. :)

It has been a pretty eventful weekend. On Saturday in the morning Brodee and I helped Carl work and move cows, it is a new experience that I am thoughouly enjoying ha. Later that day Kandice (aunt) and Syme (Brodee's missionary friend) and of course us, headed down to Salt Lake to see the lights on Temple Square. We also ate at Panda Express, which was the highlight of my month I would say ;)

He is such a good hubby...I had to beg, give the pouty face, make a deal, and gather every
thing up for him to put the lights on the roof. :) Looks like it worked! haha
